Abstract
The connection between Hans Arp’s work and twentieth-century architecture is a rich and fascinating one. His oeuvre has an obvious spatial, three-dimensional quality that carries through to the works in two dimensions and expresses a strong sense of movement and growth. Many writers and researchers have analysed his emphasis on drawing inspiration from nature, and his nature-based works are seen as the basis of the unique and wonderful new visual language he introduced to twentieth-century century art.
