Abstract

The project is result of (Re)search for Crossing Points between Collective Private Commissioning and Housing Demands of the 21st Century. The design is located at Island 7 in Houthavens, Amsterdam. The main goal of the project is to create ensemble of buildings which give to the user feeling of home within the city of Amsterdam. In that sense the project is developed as a sequences of spaces which serve as a scene for day-life functions and stimulate the social interaction between the users. The main principle of the design is to create visual connections between different spaces at all scales (urban level, building design, interior). In the same time the project incorporates the demands of the people who are looking for a new home in the 21st Century and is also designed in a way to be realized as a Collective Private Commissioning.
