This report presents the design and implementation of a single-well muscle-on-a-chip device capable of displacing one of the support pillars to which muscle tissue is bound, using an electromechanical actuator. In addition to this displacement capacity, the muscle tissue can be electrically stimulated, allowing for the measurement of corresponding contraction forces via post-deflection methods.
