Abstract

This thesis investigates the conserved currents of spinor fields. These can be computed through Noether’s theorem, which links symmetries to conserved quantities. This requires the transformation behaviour of spinors, which is given using the Clifford algebra. Furthermore, other relevant concepts for describing spinors, such as vector bundles and connections, are introduced. Finally, the concept of a universal spinor bundle is introduced, which can be used to describe spin-1 2 particles under the effect of and as a cause of gravity.
