Abstract
This thesis develops a spatial graph-based framework for planning wastewater network expansion in northern Larnaka, Cyprus. The method integrates road-based construction corridors, building-level demand, existing sewer assets, terrain elevation, budget constraints, and pumping feasibility. Five network configurations are generated and compared. Full urban coverage is technically achievable but exceeds the available budget. Budget-constrained alternatives achieve 95.7–97.5% modelled urban coverage at approximately EUR 127–130 million, while differing substantially in municipal distribution. The results highlight the trade-off between aggregate efficiency and balanced service provision, supporting a phased, municipality-aware expansion strategy.
